When you walk through the doors of 1st Way Life Center, we want you to feel seen, supported, and safe. Our friendly volunteers are the heart of our center. They offer a warm welcome, a listening ear, and compassionate support to every person who comes to us—making sure you feel cared for, never judged, and never alone.
Private Consultation Rooms
We offer one-on-one support in our private consultation rooms, where you can meet with a volunteer to talk through your situation, ask questions, and express your thoughts freely. These spaces are peaceful, confidential, and judgment-free—so you can feel safe to be yourself. Our caring staff will walk with you at your pace, offering information and support every step of the way.
Baby Boutique
Our Baby Boutique is stocked with essential items for both mom and baby. From diapers, wipes, and formula to clothing, bottles, and blankets – there are a number of free items for which you can shop. You can also use “Mommy Dollars” earned through our parenting classes or Mom’s Group participation to purchase brand new items or some larger goods. Stop in today to see what we have in stock, as our inventory is constantly changing!
Mom’s Group
In lieu of our typical Mom’s Group, this year we are hosting monthly Client Events. We know parenthood can feel overwhelming—but you don’t have to do it alone. Our Client Events are a fun way to connect, learn, and grow together. These events often include helpful parenting topics, encouragement, and friendship with other parents (and grandparents, too!) who understand what you’re going through. Every event is free of charge. Be sure to check our Events page for a list of upcoming Client Events. We also post them on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Resources
We partner with a network of trusted community organizations to connect you with the additional support you may need—including housing, medical care, counseling, food assistance, legal aid, and more. If we don’t offer it in-house, we’ll help you find someone who does. We’re committed to walking with you well beyond your first visit.
